Eight services, seven pages, one rule: the method follows the surface. Moss
removal, solar panels, driveways and patios, window cleaning, render, gutters, soffits and
fascias, and conservatory roofs — each cleaned at the pressure that surface takes, which is
not the same pressure for any two of them.
Clay and concrete roof tiles
Tiles need low pressure and a biocide, then time — high pressure dislodges them and forces water under the laps.
Comes off: Moss cushions, lichen crusts and the black streaking that follows them down the slope.
Not included: Loose or cracked tiles get pointed out, not replaced.
Roof-mounted and ground-mounted panels
Panels are cleaned with pure water and no detergent — pressure and detergent damage the coating and the seals.
Comes off: The grime film, bird droppings and pollen that shade a cell and cost it output.
Not included: Nothing electrical is touched: no isolators, no inverters, no wiring.
Block paving, concrete and stone flags
Block paving, concrete and flags take high pressure and a rotary surface cleaner, which keeps the water flat and the stripes out.
Comes off: Algae, black spot, the moss in the joints and years of traffic grime.
Not included: Re-sanding joints and sealing are separate jobs, quoted separately.
Glass, frames and sills
Glass is done with pure water through a pole, worked from the ground — no detergent to dry on and no ladder leaning on the frames.
Comes off: Rain marks, road dust, cobwebs and the dirt line along frames and sills.
Not included: Internal glass is not included, and failed seals are cleaned around.
Painted, silicone and monocouche render, and pebbledash
Render needs low pressure and a biocide — high pressure strips the finish and voids the manufacturer’s warranty.
Comes off: Green algae, the black run-off under downpipes and the grey film on north walls.
Not included: Cracked or blown render is reported, not repaired.
Gutters, downpipes, soffits and fascias
A clearing job first and a cleaning job second: gutters emptied by hand, then the soffits and fascias washed down at low pressure.
Comes off: Leaf silt, moss plugs, sapling growth and the green staining down white uPVC.
Not included: Leaking joints and loose brackets are flagged for a repair, not fixed on the visit.
Polycarbonate sheeting, glass roofs and the frames under them
Polycarbonate sheeting and sealed units take low pressure only — pressure cracks panels and forces water past the seals.
Comes off: Algae on the sheeting, leaf silt in the glazing bars and the green line along the ridge.
Not included: A unit that has already blown stays blown, and interiors are not cleaned.
